Penny Jensz - photo shOOT ONE
In this photo I have taken an image of my cat wearing a tie. I did this for the theme disguise and I have put I tie around my cat to make a disguise effect. I have used natural light in this photo. For this photo-shoot I wanted to do something different and more creative so I chose to take these photos of my cat as it would be original. The photo-shoot went better as I planned it would do because as I chose to take photos of an animal, it would be herder to control them and take good photos. In the end I did achieve good photos and it was quite a longer photo-shoot than previous ones I have taken. IK have used natural light in the photo-shoot.

photo ANALYSIS - nick knight
This photograph was taken by Nick Knight. Nick Knight is among the world’s most influential
and visionary photographers, and founder and director of award-winning fashion
website as a fashion photographer
In this photograph there is, what looks like a woman wearing a dress and her hair is covering her face and she is wearing high heel boots. There looks like artificial lighting in this photo and it is directing onto her arms/face. The background in this photo looks very plain/ boring as it is a dull colour and it brings the focus on the girl standing in the centre.
This photograph reminds me of a fashion show as it is original and eye-catching. This picture is different from real life because it is black and white. The bit that is most interesting for me is the top half/ where the light is directed and the way her hands are positioned.
The theme of this photograph is disguise because she isn’t wearing a casual outfit and because she is covering her face with her hair.

photo ANALYSIS - penny jENSZ
Penny Jensz is at once an artist, and a dedicated student of
the human condition.
This image was taken by David Bailey of Twiggy and Penny Jensz has edited this image with her eyes covered with flowers which look as if they have been cropped into the picture. The flowers in this image do not look like a photograph, they look like a painting, which she might have done. Everything in this image is black and white apart from the flowers which look as if they have not been edited. In the black and white image there looks like artificial light has been used.
This photograph reminds me of olden days/ when colour wasn't around. And also the quality of the image isn't very modern. This image would be classed as abstract because it was an original photograph which has now been manipulated into an abstract image by use of flowers which is influenced by disguise.

photo analysis - Richard BURBRIDGE
his photo was taken by Richard Burbridge. This photo is of a
girl wearing, what looks like a mascaraed mask. The photo is in black and white
which defines and highlights the outline of the mask and the face. I like how
to mask looks lace with the small and thin cut outs in the mask. Having the image
in black and white also define the brightness. The face is in white but with a
lot of brightness making the skin look airbrushed. I also like how with the
black the; lips, eyes and mask look more defined and stand out a lot more as
well. I also like how, where the mask meets
the face, the mask makes a spikey edge on the mask making it more unique and
eye-catching. On the mask at the top of the picture there looks as if there are
two cat ears which makes the image look more interesting.

Evaluation
In this project I used the theme disguise. I decided to use this theme because it looked interesting and when I was researching other photographer’s work of disguise, I found it interesting.
In this project I developed a lot of themes including, masks and ties. I tried to do this theme by covering up face with a mask and putting a tie around my cat to make him look different. I tried to take my photos from a faced forward angle and using natural light in my first photoshoot however in my second photoshoot I used artificial light from the studio. When editing the photos I found that I was mostly using bright and bold colours for my first photoshoot (cat) and for the second photoshoot (masks) I found that I was mostly using a black and white effect.
In this project I experimented my photoshoots by coming up with an idea and developing it into something where I can produce a photoshoot. For example, for my first photoshoot I came up with the idea of putting a tie on my cat and then I developed it by setting up a stool in front of a white wall with natural light so I can take photos. I have used appropriate recourses for both my photoshoots such as a camera and I have reviewed and refined my work. For my first photoshoot I used my camera from my IPhone 5s and for my second photoshoot I used a cannon camera, and I used ‘adobe Photoshop’ to edit my photos.
I have recorded my ideas by making a website and publishing my photos that I have taken on there as well as my mind maps and all my planning for this project. I have also created contact sheets from my photoshoots.
I have used the website I have made from weebly, to present my personal project. I have justified my developments by writing annotations and evaluations for my work and publishing this onto my website. I have shown connections between visual, written, oral and other elements by ensuring that my work is clearly presented, indicating by final outcomes and explaining how I have arrived at them.
In conclusion I am satisfied with my final response and my personal progress within this unit and I do not regret choosing the theme of disguise for this project, or wish I had chosen another theme for this project.
